Green Smoothie Recipe
One major benefit I’ve noticed from drinking a tall green smoothie is the mental clarity that follows. I don’t sleep as well as I used to and being in school full time can tax my mental reserves. When I need a quick pick-me-up, I don’t turn to caffeine. It’s never agreed with me. Green juice does for me what I imagine caffeine does for a coffee drinker.
Certainly, going natural isn’t as potent as a stimulant, like caffeine. However, it is packed with nutrition and your brain will love it.
Simple and easy 3 ingredient smoothie recipe:
What You’ll Need:
A blender
A glass
3/4 to 1 cup of Dole Fruit Juice
I prefer the Paradise Blend or the Pineapple Orange Banana. These particular Dole juices are 100% juice, which is hard to find at local grocery stores and markets.
3 cups packed mixed greens
I purchase the Power Greens bag at Costco, but any mixed greens—spinach, kale, chard—will do
1/2 to 1 Banana
I use half a banana but if you prefer it to be a little sweeter, use the whole banana
Directions:
Pour juice into the blender
Add the banana
Add 1/3 of the greens
Put the lid on the blender and start blending. While blending, remove the lid and add the rest of the greens. I add greens until the mixture becomes a lovely lime green.
Pour into glass, and enjoy!
