Golden Milk Recipe
Why Golden Milk?
Turmeric is naturally anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, and surprisingly, absorbs better into the blood stream when consumed with black pepper. The most important ingredient in Turmeric is called curcumin, and among other benefits, curcumin is both an anti-inflammatory agent and is said to support brain function.
As I’ve aged, it’s been important for me to find healthy ways of reducing inflammation. I imagine most people these days share my undesirable relationship with stress, and inflammation is one of the unhealthy byproducts of stress. I’ve really had to work to reduce both stress and inflammation after I turned 40, so when I came across Golden Milk, I was happy to try it.
Like with any natural preventative methods, consistency is key. Ingredients in their natural form are never as potent as pharmaceuticals, which I like, but which also means that I have to be on the ball on keep up my health lifestyle practices. That can be easier said than done.
Golden Milk, however, is a delight to drink and easy enough to make that you could, potentially, have a couple cups a day, if you were so inclined. I prefer to drink it either in the morning or the evening, as I prefer drinking water throughout the better part of the day.
