There is a lot of positive peer pressure. But there is also a lot of toxic social bullying and pressure that creates massive issues within the human family. Although the name of this pieces is reminiscent of a certain character from a well-known 90’s movie, my interest in naming the piece thus was a cultural kickback against the current wave of moral paralysis and mush caused by the need to please. There is nothing so grotesque as spinelessness—that boneless ineptitude of following the crowd because one is too afraid to stand up for what they know and believe to be right. Stand With A Fist represents a cultural imperative, the moral duty, and the skeletal structure of a happy and successful society.
