Woven material has been around for thousands of years. Humans have a curious desire not just to create what is useful, but also what is beautiful—pleasing to the eye. We crave both form and function. There are a myriad of ideas offered in academia for why we choose to incorporate what we find beautiful into our every day life. My personal intuition is that we hunger for what we are and desire to become. We surround ourselves with stimulation—textures, smells, patterns, colors—that harmonize with our souls, for good or ill. Woven Blanket, is a reminder to fill your environmental spaces with that which increases one’s capacity to be authentic, inspired, and elevated.
